HMS Polychrest Broadside – Letterpress Printed

We have designed and letterpress printed a broadside of the recruiting poster Mr. Scriven writes for Jack in Post Captain. The hyperbolic text that Mr. Scriven proposes that Captain Aubrey have printed to recruit sailors for his new command – HMS Polychrest – is both humorous and historically accurate. Jack's response? ‘I like it. I am obliged to you, Mr Scriven. Will you take it round to the Courier office and explain to them how it is to be printed? You understand these things admirably.’ We too understand these things admirably, and have designed it to mirror actual Royal Navy recruiting posters of the Georgian Era.

This 10"x15" poster is letterpress printed in-house in three colors on Arches MDM laid paper from the French mill that has been making fine paper since 1493.
